Intelligence Speaks Your Language.
Acquiring coding skills in English presents a significant challenge to many youth. Therefore, in line with Vygotsky's Social Development Theory, we posit that learning outcomes are optimised when the cultural and linguistic context is familiar.
9jaCoder Code Editor (9CE) aims to democratise tech access. It empowers youth to code in local languages like Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Fulfulde, French, and English – with Arabic support coming soon. It is powered by the global Python ecosystem and is primed for Artificial Intelligence and Mobile Development.
9CE is a non-kinetic approach to addressing insecurity by providing legitimate digital opportunities for youth.
By supporting multiple local languages, 9CE leverages Cummins' Linguistic Interdependence Theory, allowing developers to code in Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Fulfulde, French, or English and convert their programs to standard Python. We invite you to join us to empower our youth and reduce violence.
